The designated relative of the deceased must read and indicate acceptance of this agreement by signing below

Cost:

  1. The family of the deceased will be required to pay all funeral costs ($2,550) prior to burial. This includes the following charges:
    1. A one-time maintenance fee of $1,500.
    2. Grave preparation and Material costs of approximately $520.00.
    3. Grass Marker cost of approximately $530.
  2. Payment made payable to “AICC”.
  3. The above is not inclusive of funeral home expenses, which are the responsibility of the family. We do recommend consultation with AICC as we may be able to offer cost-effective funerary providers.

Janaza (Funeral) & Internment (Burial)

  1. The time agreed upon regarding the start of the Janaza/burial must be adhered to.
Those assisting in the burial, including contracted diggers, have a strict time to keep. Any overage in cost due to delay from the family must be then paid.
  2. All people (Men and Women) attending the funeral at the Masjid should be dressed
modestly and in accordance with Islamic principles.
  3. As the actual burial process is a physically intimate endeavor, per Islamic guidelines,
at the burial only males shall be present. AFTER BURIAL, the immediate family, including women, will have access to the grave.
  4. During the burial, there will only be 2-3 immediate family members in and around the grave. This is for safety reasons as the grave may collapse from too many people. Also, a
large crowd makes it very difficult to perform the burial. All others are to remain physically behind, at the dictated spot, until cleared to come and place the dirt.
  5. When placing the dirt on the fresh grave, do so gently and in small quantities, so as
not to collapse any covering of the body.
  6. The burial method MUST occur in line with the cemetery guidelines.
  7. An AICC representative shall be tasked to be in charge. Please listen and follow
the instructions of this person and of the designated volunteers.
  8. As much as possible, AICC will be deferential to the family and the masjid through which the funeral is being arranged. However, AICC guidelines must be adhered to. Any
deviation from the protocol will require the consent of the AICC Cemetery Committee, prior
    to the actual burial.

Grave

  1. Will be maintained by AICC.
  2. The grass marker will be ordered by AICC. Family should not order their own headstone or grass marker. The marker will be simple and uniform, listing the deceased’s
name, date of birth, and date of death.
  3. No mausoleum-type structure, or other permanent or built-up structures, shall be
built over or around the grave.
  4. Any flowers/decorations left behind will generally be cleared at the time of the next mowing/maintenance.

All questions concerning this policy shall be directed to the AICC  Representative
